I offer support, information, the opportunity to explore issues, and guidance for individuals dealing with gender or sexual orientation concerns. This includes adolescents and adults struggling with confusion or conflicts about gender or sexual orientation, as well as those with a clear sexual orientation (e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual) or a certain sense of themselves as transgender or as having other gender identities.

I have been in this field for over 35 years, both clinically and earlier in my career doing research. I have seen many changes in both societal attitudes and the approaches taken by professionals in their attempts to be both helpful and responsible. I am committed to respectful exploration of the individual’s experience of their sexual orientation, gender and gender identity, and to being guided by the understanding that comes from this.

I adhere to the WPATH Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender, and Gender Diverse People.
